Sidney Shaw is quite happy with her life in New York, but she can't seem to find love. She has dated all kinds of men: they lied on their dating site profiles, left her to pay for dinner and, worst of all, couldn't stop talking about their mothers. At a moment of complete despair, Sydney finally meets him. Tom seems perfect handsome, noble, witty, and he's a doctor to boot. However, the fairy tale is soon overshadowed by the investigation into the bloody murder of her close friend. Suspicion falls on her mysterious boyfriend, who cannot be found. Nervous and frightened, Sidney does not know where to expect danger: the killer is lurking somewhere nearby, someone is constantly watching her, and Tom no longer seems so perfect...
