The Ukrainian liberation movement of the 20th century, and in particular the activities of the OUN and the UPA, are among the little-studied phenomena of the past without which the phenomenon of independent Ukraine cannot be grasped.

We are convinced that without a broad discussion based on knowledge of the facts, society will not be able to give an objective assessment of the activities of Ukrainian nationalists. The popular science publication Historical Truth has collected articles by influential scholars, journalists, public figures, and dissidents on the Organization of Ukrainian Nationalists and the Ukrainian Insurgent Army.
